“Social networking is the new hot web concept. Mainstream successes like MySpace and Facebook have brought on a deluge of social networking sites based around a simple idea: Get people together, and people with similar interests will find each other and create something cool.
I’ve long thought that poker was ripe for such a site. Poker networking can help you schedule home games, coordinate trips to Vegas, find people to talk about hands with, and more. You can show off your tournament successes on your profile page, post photos of yourself or friends, or tell bad beat stories on your blog. Poker and social networking are both hot, so they seem like a good match.”

So if UFC is the new poker … where does that leave the old poker?

“Matt Maroon, author of Winning Texas Hold’em: Cash Game Poker Strategies for Players of All Skill Levels and of The Poker Chronicles, has solved this problem with his new site, TwoOuts.com. It’s a social bookmarking site, a la digg, that focuses on poker articles and content. It’s just getting off the ground, but as more and more people begin to use it, I think it may become the single most reliable source on the web for the latest poker news, info, and strategy.
If you read a poker article, blog post, forum thread, or whatever that you think is cool or worth sharing, submit it to TwoOuts (or vote for it if someone else already submitted it). If enough people do that, it will become the best place on the web to get up to speed on everything poker…”
